Applications are invited for the post of JRF in DBT the project entitled “Raising nutritionally Improved Rice (Oryza sativa L cv.IR64) Germplasm with High Lysine content employing RNAi Tools”.


The project is valid for a period of three years (2010-2012).
JRF @Rs. 12000/-p.m. + HRA

Essential Qualifications: M.Sc. in any branch of Life Science with good academic records (Ist division).

Desirable Qualifications: Strong desire to work on plant and microbial system with good knowledge of routine molecular biology techniques including cloning and expression analysis. Candidates having relevant experience in biochemical analysis using HPLC will be preferred.

Applications are invited for the post of Technical assistant in the DST project entitled “Exploring the major salinity stress associated QTL ‘Saltol’ in Oryza sativa L for searching novel candidate genes”.

The project is valid for a remaining period of one year (until 2011).
Technical Assistant @Rs. 8000/-p.m.

Essential Qualifications: M.Sc. in any branch of Life Science with good academic records (Ist division).

Desirable Qualifications: Candidates having relevant experience in the area will be preferred
